Reporting Suspicious Email

The O365 team at OITS has enabled the Outlook Report Message feature for everyone with Outlook in the Department of Administration. This lets you report Spam and Phishing messages back to Microsoft and the KISO officeIf your believe the phishing attempt is critical or requires additional context, complete the steps below to report the email and then also email KISO_SOC@ks.gov letting them know your report is critical.

How To Report

When using your Outlook client, you should notice the Report or Report Message icon in the top ribbon:

If you receive a suspicious email, click the Report Message dropdown arrow:

  • Select Junk to report the message as Spam
  • Phishing to report the message as a Phishing attempt.

**You can also submit an email manually to KISO.Sandbox@ks.gov by creating a new email, dragging the suspected email from your inbox into the new email. Type 'Suspicious email' in the subject.
