Two robotic demo machines are working to remove parapet edge block, stone, and concrete. The diversion system suspended by the crane deposits material to the floor below. This system is employed to contain debris at more sensitive locations.

Crews are removing bolts from plate steel anchored down in the vault structure. After being in place for 70 years, the bolts needed lots of persuasion to release their bond. Steel is now removed and ready for CMU block in this area.

One inch slotted bolts take special tools to remove. We made our own tools to accomplish this task.

Basement plaster ceilings are removed in preparation of CMU block activity. The brown ductwork with the white seam tape is asbestos material that needs abated. This is ductwork from the original construction in 1954.
