Tips for accessible video

  • Must have captions that are synchronized with the spoken dialogue and non-speech sounds

  • Narrated track that describes critical visual information such as scene changes, on-screen text, or actions not conveyed by dialogue

  • Text transcripts that include dialogue and non-speech sound and context

  • Ensure onscreen text and graphics have 4:5:1 contrast ration and use clean sans-serif fonts at readable sizes

  • Avoid content with too many flashes

  • Disable auto-play

  • Clear speech with minimal background noise

  • Do not use color alone to convey important information
