Services

Technology Development

The Systems Development Team of the Office of Systems Management is responsible for:

  • Providing systems development and application support for Statewide Systems
    • Statewide Management Accounting, and Reporting Tool (SMART)
    • Statewide Human Resources and Payroll (SHaRP)
  • Developing technical designs
  • Developing and testing recommended updates/enhancements
  • Coordinating the Job Scheduling
  • Monitoring Daily Payroll on the SMART system
  • Ensuring all System Integration is running (Office of the State Printer, Office of the Chief Fiscal Officer, Third Party Vendors, Report and File Distribution)

 

Technology Architecture

The Technical Architecture Team provides several services to help keep the DofA systems healthy and operational. The following services are provided:

  • Provide system level security for SMART, SHaRP, and Data Warehouse
  • Provide SMART work flow support
  • Support PHIRE system used to track development tickets
  • Monitor and maintain system used for batch job schedules
  • Monitor system health and performance
  • Maintain service, SAN and fiber architecture
  • Provide audit support functions
  • Monitor and maintain system backups

 

Technology Services

Welcome to the Kansas Service Desk. We provide the following services:

  • The Kansas Service Desk provides an initial point of contact for citizens of Kansas and for State Agency employees.
  • Password Resets - SMART, SHaRP, Employee Self Service, ManageEngine
  • Conduit for SMART Users to address questions or problems encountered while utilizing SMART.
  • ManageEngine Help Desk Requests - a vehicle to communicate with the SMART Team, managers, auditors, and to request records/information (Kansas Open Records Requests)
  • Access issues, system errors, browser compatibilities
  • Questions or Requests for SMART - Re-dispatching POs, why has a payment not been made, vendor payment look up assistance, budget date changes in SMART, purchasing, travel & expense, general ledger or accounts payable
  • Employee Self Service assistance - guidance for viewing W2s, paycheck information, and employee data
