Department of Administration announces internal reorganization

Apr 01, 2015

Secretary Jim Clark

Kansas Department of Administration Secretary Jim Clark has announced the reorganization of staff and functions within the agency aimed at improving efficiencies and make better use of the skills within the department.

The reorganization involves moving functions within the Office of Financial Management, the Chief Financial Officer and Office of Systems Management. Staff involved in the reorganization was briefed during a meeting Friday, March 27, with Secretary Clark and key agency officials.

“We have an opportunity to restructure in a way that is appropriate going forward,” Clark said.

The changes reunite the statewide services back in one team under the Office of the Chief Financial Officer DeAnn Hill. The Office of Financial Management, led by Colleen Becker, will oversee accounting functions within the Department of Administration, including the agency, Office of Information Technology Systems and the Accounting Service Center.

In addition, the Office of Systems Management, led by Sarah Gigous, will see an expansion in the area of technology support for the Department of Administration and other state agencies. The expansion will lead to improved response times and boost customer service.

The changes will be updated on the agency web site at
