This type of business form uses carbonless paper and is bound together with staples in a perforated stub. The cover has a flap that is inserted between sets to prevent transfer to other sets in the book when writing on the form. Forms must be filled out by hand (not typed) as the book will not fit into the typewriter. This can be convenient in many applications but is labor intensive and thus quite costly.
