Employment Rate for Dislocated workers served through Workforce Services

Workforce Services reports information quarterly to the U.S. Department of Labor based on cohorts of dislocated workers who have exited services during the reporting period and are found to be employed. Employment is confirmed by direct unemployment insurance wage record match, federal or military employment records, or supplemental wage information. The rate reported is the number of dislocated participants divided by the total number of participants who exited during this reporting period.

In some cases, quarterly data has been annualized to provide a better comparison to prior fiscal years. Generally, measures that use percentages have been annualized. This prevents distortions in the quarterly data that may occur because of smaller populations sizes. Measures that show the numbers of incidents, activities or individuals reflect actual numbers for the quarter. This allows users to see progress from one quarter to the next towards identified goals.
