Army announces soldier reductions at Kansas installations

Fort Riley and Fort Leavenworth will see their numbers reduced mildly as part of a U.S. Army plan to bring overall troop numbers down.Fort Riley will lose 615 troop positions between fiscal year 2015 and fiscal year 2017, U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran said Thursday. Leavenworth will lose 60 troops positions in that time. (The Topeka Capital-Journal)
