Subject: COVID-19 – Capitol Complex Updates


Drive-up Temperature Screening Station: As of Monday, May 11th new hours of operation will be 6:45 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. The drive-up temperature screening station option will remain open through end of Phase I.

Walk up Temperature Screening Stations: Walk-up temperature screening locations as of Monday, May 11th will include Curtis, Eisenhower and Landon buildings. New hours of operation will be 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Walk-up temperature screening will continue at least through Phase II.

Parking: State employees should begin to use state parking lots and garages. City of Topeka parking enforcement of meters and free two hour outside of State buildings will begin. OFPM parking department is now open by phone 296-7909.

Printing & Mail Services: Printing Services is now open and available by work order submission (DA 104) for all print requests, including social distancing signage and floor decals. Pickup / Drop-off of mail and checks will continue at Printing, 201 NW MacVicar thru Phase II. Hours 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Building Services - Capitol Complex: Employees are encouraged to wear masks, not crowd onto elevators and use stairs whenever possible. We will not publish specific regulations how many people can be on any particular elevator at one time.

Hand sanitizer, wipes or additional cleaning materials should be secured by agencies based on their needs and are not available through OFPM. As always, tenant spaces are cleaned daily with antimicrobial products approved by the EPA for use against COVID-19. OFPM will continue to clean high-traffic and touch areas multiple times a day.

Seating for all common area breakrooms and lobbies have been adjusted to encourage social distancing – drinking fountains and exercise rooms have been taken out of service until further notice.

Conference rooms may be reserved through OFPM Customer Service Center (CSC) but meeting attendees must observe limits for gathering and maintain social distancing. These rooms will be cleaned by OFPM after each use.

Plexiglass sneeze guards for reception, security and public interaction work areas are available upon request. Please submit a work order through CSC at 296-3144.
