The Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility currently has an Unclassified Storekeeper position open in Supply Warehouse. This position fills and delivers items requisitioned by employees and provides back up for Canteen and Clothing Supply. This position has a work schedule of Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Primary Duties Include:
Supervises offenders in the receipt and unloading of freight. Stores stock items in warehouse. Monitors warehouse stock levels keeping stock above minimum inventory levels. Supervises offenders in filling of stores requisitions accurately and makes delivers in a timely manner. Delivers non warehouse items to the staff that requested them. Ensures forms are completed legibly and accurately at the time of issue. Drives to area merchants as necessary to pick up order items.
Places orders for needed supplies using the S.M.A.R.T. system, the internet, or the telephone.
Assists in issuance of Canteen items as necessary. Operates Canteen in the absence of other Storekeepers.
Responsible for all operational duties in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the warehouse. May be assigned other related duties essential to the operation of the Supply Department.
Issues staff uniforms as needed. Monitors stock levels of officer and maintenance staff clothing. Submits requests for quantities needing ordered.
Assists the Warehouse Manager in taking physical inventories. Supervises offenders in any furniture and equipment moves as necessary. Reports moves to Accountant to ensure accuracy of the database.
Assists in operation of the Laundry as necessary. Operates the Laundry in the absence of other Storekeepers.

Salary: $26,998.40 annually. This position is full-time, unclassified position with benefits. Pay can vary depending upon experience and qualifications.
One year of experience in storekeeping, including receiving, inspecting, cataloging, and storing goods and maintaining inventory records. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Prefer candidate have a high school diploma or GED and experience in purchasing and merchandising.
Necessary Special Qualifications, Licenses, Certifications, and or Registrations:
Must have a valid driver's license.
