Job Duty Description:
This position provides complex administrative services in support of the HCF Staff Development Program. Incumbent serves as the primary contact for Staff Development issues, screening and referring calls as necessary, but providing detailed responses to information requests and questions about training programs and activities. Provides classroom preparation and support instructor training on audio/visual projection, recording, and broadcast equipment. Coordinates planning and training schedules as needed. Incumbent is responsible for preparing and maintaining various records and office activities related to purchasing, expenses, repairs. Maintains the established records management system to track training requirements. On occasion communicates with community organizations and other resources.
Minimum Qualifications: Six months of experience in general office, clerical or administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Performance Standards: Knowledge of English, spelling, grammar, and arithmetic. Knowledge of the operation of office equipment, personal computers and communication systems. Knowledge of rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Knowledge of record keeping, and reporting methods. Ability to apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Selection Process: Applicants selected for interview will be evaluated by an interview panel using performance/behavior based interview questions. The interview panel will make recommendations to the Warden for final approval. A second interview may be conducted. Applicants will be subject to background check and criminal history investigation; must pass a drug screen and a TB test unless promoting, transferring, or demoting from another safety sensitive position within the same agency; and possess a valid Driver’s License.
