The Administrative Specialist is a Business Office Support Role at Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex. This position contributes to several vital operational components of the facility including Dietary Services and the Business Office. The Administrative Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for the School Nutrition Program, and assure compliance with regulatory standards. This role will also assist the Business Manager in generating, compiling, and distributing monthly budget reports to both internal and external stakeholders, using the State of Kansas Accounting System, other office software, and business machines.
This position is unclassified, with a minimum starting wage of $14.30

The successful applicant will possess two years of experience in general office, clerical, and administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experienced as deemed relevant by the agency. Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license.
In addition to the required experience and education, preferred candidates will have:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel)
While performing functions of the position responsibilities, the Administrative Specialist will promote and support satisfactory and harmonious work relationships in all areas of the facility and with all external stakeholders.
