Educates customers in person, or by phone, of applicable Sales Tax laws, policies, procedures, services and resources. Provides customer with information regarding status of records, tax return or other transactions. Provides guidance on options to correct deficiencies, problems, or errors. Performs account management on accounts involving business entities of federal government, other government agencies, general partnerships, limited liability compensation and limited partnerships. Conducts the processing of returns, remittance, refunds and correspondence. Performs account adjustments, abatements and/or assessments. In addition, incoming phone calls from customers cannot be identified by a specific level. Other items that might fall into the same situation are vouchers, overpaid, and correspondence. Have a minimal amount of training on withholding and income taxes to assist with calls during peak season as needed. Assist each month with reviewing adjustment letters prior to being printed and mailed. This position requires a professional attire and a customer service orientation. Provides customer education in a professional manner when assisting a customer face-to-face or making a public presentations. Provides customer education in a professional manner. Ensures that customers' needs are met in a professional manner.
