Kansas State Capitol Complex Interactive Map Available Online

TOPEKA, KS—The Kansas Historical Society announced that an interactive map of the Kansas State Capitol complex is now available online. The map is optimized for mobile devices and allows visitors to plan a tour of the Capitol complex, including the state office buildings around Capitol Square.

Kansas state capitolFeatured landmarks include the memorials to veterans and law enforcement agents, the Abraham Lincoln statue, and the Kansas Walk of Honor. The map is a collaboration among the Kansas Historical Society, the Office of Information Technology Services (OITS), and the Data Access and Support Center (DASC). The Historical Society contributed photographs and descriptions, and OITS and DASC provided the geographic information system software and technical infrastructure. The Kansas Historical Society is a state agency that operates the Kansas Museum of History, State Archives, Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center, and 16 state historic sites. For more information, visit kshs.org.
