Welcome to the Office of Surplus Property! There are 4 main programs offered within Surplus Property: State Surplus, Federal Surplus, LESO / 1033, and Fixed Price Vehicle Sales (FPVS). Each of these programs is unique and offer a broad range of products and services to our customers. Our hours are 8 am to 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.
We are CLOSED daily from 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm for a 30 minute lunch.

The State Surplus Property program's intent is to facilitate the disposition and reallocation of excess and surplus state agency property. This property IS available to the public after being available to other state and government agencies, who are signed up in our program, for a period of 30 days. This program has everything from computers to cars available at our warehouse. New property is picked up and brought into our warehouse daily. The Federal Surplus Property program offers excess federal government equipment and supplies to tax supported agencies and non-profit education / health agencies in the state of Kansas that are signed up to participate in our program. This program is NOT open to the general public. We carry items such as clothing, tools, office supplies, generators, shop supplies, medical equipment, etc... Your agency may also make special requests for items you are looking for and we can try to find those items specifically for you.
The LESO (Law Enforcement Support Office) / 1033 Program is available for law enforcement agencies across the state to utilitze. It allows for these agencies to gain access to weapons, vehicles, and other equipment they normally wouldn't have access to or wouldn't be able to afford. Law enforcement agencies in the LESO program have access to federal government excess property before it becomes available to the agencies signed up in the Federal Surplus Property program.
The FPVS Program offers late model, lower mileage vehicles to agencies signed up in the Federal Surplus Property program at greatly reduced costs. The public is NOT allowed to purchase these vehicles. These vehicles were once part of the federal government's motor pool and when they are replaced with newer models, they are sent to auction houses where our agency purchases them and brings them into our warehouse for our customers. All necessary repairs, if any, are made to these vehicles before they are offered for sale.
Periodically State and / or Federal Surplus will conduct a public auction of property. State Surplus auctions are conducted by Purple Wave Auctions for property, vehicles, and equipment. Federal Surplus auctions are conducted through the General Services Administration GSA Auctions program. These are NOT live on-site auctions. When we have either Federal or State Surplus property going to auction, information regarding these auctions will be posted here.
